The Game Awards 2022 Nominees Include Elden Ring, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and More
The Game Awards has formally announced its slate of nominees for this year’s awards ceremony, which will be livestreamed on December 8. Voting is now open for the nominees in each category and are featured in the announcement video/tweets below:

The Game Awards has also expanded its list of qualifying categories to include Best Game Direction and Best Adaptation, with one of the nominated games from the expanded categories including the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Netflix anime, while Elden Ring and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are up for the Best Score and Music category. With Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Elden Ring featuring in multiple and major categories this year, it marks a shift in the nomination criteria that has previously marred prior editions of the awards, owing to the lack of recognition for Japanese games. With today’s nomination announcements, expect to see more trailers in the run up to the ceremony on December 8, where more trailers and announcements are expected.
