Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Nika VA Yume Miyamoto Takes A Hiatus due to Health Issues
Japanese theatrical company Himawari Theatre Group announced on November 14 that voice actress Yume Miyamoto, who is currently playing Nika Nanaura in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, will take a hiatus from activities for a while due to health issue. Details of her medical condition have not been disclosed.
The company’s official website writes, “Since the end of October, she has been in poor health and we have decided to give priority to her medical treatment for the time being. She will be taking a temporary hiatus, then will continue her activities with some restrictions.”
Miyamoto, who is now 25, has been active as child actress since she was 6. Her well-known anime characters include Mahiru Kasumi in Aikatsu Stars! (2016-2018), Rikka Takarada in SSSS.GRIDMAN (2018), Haru Nonoka in SING “YESTERDAY” FOR ME (2020), and Mei Kamino in Godzilla Singular Point (2021). As of this written, the official Japanese website for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury has yet to release any comments about her.
