Dark Soldier Takes It Easy in Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life TV Anime PV
Even evil henchmen deserve a break now and then, and now a new preview video, a new key visual, new cast members, the OP theme song performer, and the new Japanese broadcast details have been all been revealed for Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second LIfe (“The Slow Second Life of a Retired Dark Soldier in His 30s”), an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy light novel series written by Rokujuyon Okazawa and illustrated by Sage Joh about a former champion of darkness who tries to make a living as a human adventurer after getting fired from the Demon King’s army.
The new cast members include:
- Mai Nakahara as Droye.
- Satoshi Tsuruoka as Vezelia.
- Kenji Hamada as Envil.
- Keiko Watanabe as Erika.
- Shinnosuke Tachibana as Lizette.
- And Hiroshi Iwasaki as Smith.
Additionally, the opening theme for the series, entitled “CHANGEMAKER”, is performed by Hinano.

The story of Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life follows Dariel, a dark soldier in the Demon King’s army who rose to a position assisting the Four Heavenly Kings even though he is unable to wield magic. However, after being let go by his employers, Dariel migrates to a human village and tries to live a quiet life as a novice adventurer, only to discover that the problem-solving skills he developed in his time in the Demon King’s army result in him being in high demand.
The Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life TV anime is directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki and features animation production by Encourage Films. The series will broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX and other stations on Saturdays during the 22:00 time slot beginning on January 07, 2023.
