Chainsaw Man Opening Movie Director Helms New Anime PV for Japan Racing Association
Japan Racing Association (JRA) has started airing a new PV “Kyou, Watashi no Monogatari ga Hashirimasu.” (Today, my story runs.) in Japan, which tells the bond between a thoroughbred and the people involved in the horse’s life.
The original anime clip was directed by Shingo Yamashita, who worked on the stunning opening movie for the TV anime Chainsaw Man. His other recent highly acclaimed anime opening movie works include JUJUTSU KAISEN, VLAD LOVE, and Urusei Yatsura (2022). Hitomi Kariya, known for her opening anime works for NHK’s 2019 Asadora series, Natsuzora, served as animation director.
The song featured in the clip is “crossovers,” a new song provided by Aimer. She said, “We produced ‘crossovers’ as a JRA brand’s commercial song. When an important story starts to run, many thoughts and prayers intersect at that place. I wrote this song while thinking about that brilliance. I would be happy if this song could give a gentle encouragement to all of you who are about to start running with your dreams in your hearts.”
