Haruka Declares He Only ‘Swims Free’ in Free!–the Final Stroke– Anime Film Video

Free!–the Final Stroke–

 

Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club anime’s Haruka is one determined swimmer, going as far as to reach the biggest swimming tournament in the world. That story was chronicled in the Free!–the Final Stroke– the first volume and Free!–the Final Stroke– the second volume anime films, which was released in September 2021 and April 2022 respectively. 

 

Though both films were released separately, both Free!–the Final Stroke– anime films will be re-released in Japanese theaters as one huge anime film for a limited two-week run from January 27 in 32 theaters across Japan. To commemorate the screenings, a video of Haruka declaring that he only “swims free” was released.

Free!–the Final Stroke– The Second Volume was released in Japanese theaters on April 22, 2022, and made over 910 million yen (US$6.89 million) at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise.
