Chainsaw Man to Rip Up the Theater in Newly Revealed Stage Show

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man has taken over manga and anime and now it’s time for the devilish franchise to take on another frontier – the theater! Announced today, the aptly named Chainsaw Man the Stage will be hitting Tokyo and Kyoto theaters from September to October 2023, bringing Denji and the Devil Hunter crew to a new medium.

Fumiya Matsuzaki, who directed and wrote the given, Banana Fish, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Hakai ni Yoru Kakusei Re:(in)novation and MANKAI STAGE A3! stage shows will be helming the script and direction for Chainsaw Man the Stage. More details, such as casting, where the show will be held and more are to be announced at a later time.

The Chainsaw Man TV anime premiered in Japan on October 11, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime as it airs in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS. The series is described as such:

 

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

 

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
