The company announced in September 2022 that Hoshiki would take a hiatus from activities. After thorough medical examinations, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), a type of blood cancer. Since then, she suspended her voice acting and all related activities during the treatment period.

The latest statement writes:

“Seena Hoshiki, a voice actress belonging to our company, has been on hiatus due to medical treatment for an illness. She was recently discharged from the hospital, and is now recovering from her illness and working hard to return to her daily life. Based on this situation, we report that she will resume her work, albeit gradually, while taking care of her physical condition. We would like to thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given her during her recuperation. We would appreciate for your continued support.”

Soon after the announcement, Hoshiki posted her message on her official Twitter account:

“Everyone~!!!! I’m back~!!!! It’s already late tonight, so I just want to let you know… “I love you all!~~~~!!!!” (super loud voice) Good night. I’ll talk to you again next time! I’m glad there is a world line with “again.”
