Baki Hanma Season 2 Premieres This Summer
Netflix announced details of the forthcoming second season of Baki Hanma, the anime series based on Keisuke Itagaki’s long-running martial arts manga series Baki, including a new trailer, key visual, additional voice cast members and theme song performers!
As an original series for Netflix, the 12-episode first season Baki Hanma streamed worldwide in September 2021. The second season’s first arc, “The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga,” will stream starting July 26, with the second arc, “The Father VS Son Saga,” following on August 24.

Takeshi Kusao (Hanamichi Sakuragi in Slam Dunk) is cast as Pickle, a primitive man preserved since the Jurassic era. Nobuo Tobita (Kamille Bidan in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam) plays Dr. Albert Payne, the man who revived Pickle.
The new opening theme song, “The Beast,” is performed by Wagakki Band, who is known for their musical style that combines Japanese and Western instruments.

I have seen “Baki Hanma” in anime. When I saw it for the first time, I remember that it was very interesting and I was absorbed into the world one after another. I am very happy to be able to be a part of such a work and to have this wonderful opportunity. I am looking forward to seeing how the female vocalist singing “Baki” will reach you. I hope that my voice and the sound of Wagakki Band will add a touch of splendor to the work, and that it will remain in the hearts and ears of many people.

Additionally, the new ending theme song, “WILDER,” is performed by UPSTART, a unit consisting of YouTuber Hikaru and Sota Hanamura, the main vocalist of Da-iCE / Natural Lag.
