Tearmoon Empire Anime Reveals New Visual, More Cast
The Tearmoon Empire anime previously revealed plans to kick off its adaptation of the novels by Nozomu Mochitsuki and Gilse this October, and the official start time is October 7 at 25:00 (October 8 at 1:00am) in Japan. A new update arrived for the series in the form of a fresh key visual, pictured above, and a pair of new cast members, so check out the latest while we wait!
New cast additions include Kanon Takao (Yui in The Detective is Already Dead) as Tiona Rudolvon and Nao Toyama (Ruka in Rent-a-Girlfriend) as Rafina Orea Belluga.
The anime is being made at SILVER LINK with Yushi Ibe helming the project as the director. The task of working on the series scripts goes to Deko Akao, who has also worked on Komi Can’t Communicate. Credit for composing the music goes to Kōji Fujimoto.
J-Novel Club publishes both the original light novels by Nozomu Mochitsuki and Gilse as well as their manga adaptation. The company gave this description for the plot:
Surrounded by the hate-filled gazes of her people, the selfish princess of the fallen Tearmoon Empire, Mia, takes one last look at the bleeding sun before the guillotine blade falls… Only to wake back up as a twelve-year-old! With time rewound and a second chance at life dropped into her lap, she sets out to right the countless wrongs that plague the ailing Empire. Corrupt governance? Check. Border troubles? Check. Natural calamities and economic strife? Check. My, seems like a lot of work. Hard work and Mia don’t mix, so she seeks out the aid of others, starting with her loyal maid, Anne, and the brilliant minister, Ludwig. Together, they strive day and night to restore the Empire. Little by little, their tireless efforts begin to change the course of history, pushing the whole of the continent toward a new future.
