Summer Games Done Quick 2023 Schedule Includes Blindfolded Zelda: Breath of the Wild Speedrun

It’s officially time to start looking forward to the next Games Done Quick speedrunning charity marathon, because the Summer Games Done Quick event is right around the corner. The full schedule has been revealed for Summer Games Done Quick 2023, which is set to take place in person at the Hilton Minneapolis in Minnesota—and streamed online via Twitch—from May 28 to June 4.

There are a bunch of highlights to plan your week around, including Bubzia’s blindfolded any% speedrun of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is currently slotted in as a bonus game. There’s also an any% glitchless run of Elden Ring by Mitchriz, an eight-person relay race for Super Mario Maker 2 and much more on the way over the course of the jam-packed week.

 

This year’s event will be held in support of Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières, which provides “medical assistance to people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, and disasters all over the world,” with 100 percent of all donations going to directly to the cause.

 

This year’s flagship event, Awesome Games Done Quick 2023, was held from January 8-15 and pulled in over $2.6 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The all-women speedrunning marathon Frost Fatales 2023 followed from February 26 to March 4 and raised a record total of $153,352.28 for Malala Fund.
