Japan’s Top Cosplayer Enako Sniffs Out Clues in Case Closed Conan Cosplay
Conan Edogawa goes on another caper in the coming days in the latest Case Closed anime film, Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine, and to help promote one of the biggest anime films of the year, Japan’s top cosplayer Enako has been enlisted by Weekly Shonen Sunday to don the detective suit for a photoshoot.

The Detective Conan x Enako photoshoot first appeared in Josei Seven magazine on April 6 and was expanded in Weekly Shonen Sunday in today’s issue.

The 26th feature film in the anime franchise, Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine, is set to be released in Japan on April 14, 2023. Yuzuru Tachikawa, who helmed the 22nd film Detective Conan Zero the Enforcer in 2018, returns to the director’s chair with Takeharu Sakurai providing the screenplay as his sixth Conan film work.
Case Closed, also known as Detective Conan, airs weekly in Japan on Saturdays with Crunchyroll streaming the episodes soon after with 1074 currently released of the long-running series. Crunchyroll describes the TV anime as such:
The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.
