Summer Games Done Quick 2023 Event Races to Over $2.2M for Charity
There were plenty of highlights over the past week during the Summer Games Done Quick 2023 speedrunning marathon, and it ended with another bang in the form of a big chunk of change raised for charity. After the dust settled on an absolutely loaded storm of impressive runs, SGDQ tallied the numbers and ended up raising $2.2 million for Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières.

Summer Games Done Quick 2023 was held in person from May 28 to June 4 at the Hilton Minneapolis and streamed live on Twitch the entire time, featuring runs that ranged from an any% glitchless run of Elden Ring to a blindfolded any% run of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This year’s flagship event, Awesome Games Done Quick 2023, was held from January 8-15 and pulled in over $2.6 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The all-women speedrunning marathon Frost Fatales 2023 followed from February 26 to March 4 and raised a record total of $153,352.28 for Malala Fund.
