Sou Releases Dead Mount Death Play Opening Theme MV
Japanese male singer Sou released a music video for his new digital single song “Nero,“ which is featured as the opening theme for the spring 2023 TV anime Dead Mount Death Play.

After posting performance videos on Nico Nico Douga, Sou made his major debut from EXIT TUNE in 2015, and has released eight digital singles and three full albums. His previous single “Tsukiyo no Takuto” (Moonlit Night Baton) released in January 2023 was used as as the ending theme for the third episode of the winter 2023 TV anime The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World.
“Nero” was newly written by popular Vocaloid song producer Kirai Hiiragi to accompany the story of the anime. The music video was created by up-and-coming animation artist Nowoka, who also created the song’s digital jacket illustration. The clip depicts a new story about a boy and a girl, showing a dark worldview as if the boy who is being swallowed by “blackness” is going back and forth between the spiritual world and reality.
