Watch Ado’s One Piece Film Red Theme Song Performance in Concert!

 

 

Japanese singer Ado‘s official YouTube channel has started streaming a performance clip of “New Genesis,” the theme song for One Piece Film Red, from her live concert “Campanella” held at Saitama Super arena (capacity: 37,000) on August 11, 2022. She played the singing voice of the film’s main heroine, Uta.

 

This footage will be included in her first live concert DVD/Blu-ray “Campanella” to be released on June 21, 2023. Since her debut, she has consistently not shown her face when appearing in the media and has used illustrations by ORIHARA, who serves as her image director. In this concert, the audience could see only her silhouette.

“New Genesis” was released digitally from Virgin Music on June 8, 2022, then ranked No. 1 in iTunes overall song ranking, LINE MUSIC real-time ranking, Oricon digital single ranking, and other major rankings. On the Apple Music Global Chart, it became the first Japanese song to reach No. 1 worldwide.

 

Also, a vinyl record of her second album “Uta’s Songs: One Piece Film Red,” which was originally released in August 2022, will be available on June 14. In addition to “New Genesis,” the six insert songs for the film and one special track “Binks’ Sake” will be included.
