Musashino City in Tokyo Launches Animeno Mangano Musashino 2022 Project

 

 

“Animeno Mangano Musashino 2022,” a new project to promote Musashino City, Tokyo, where many famous manga artists and animation production companies are based, as a “City of Anime & Manga,” was launched on November 1. The Musashino Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Musashino City Tourism Organization held a press conference in the city.

 

The major anime companies located in the city include: Studio 4℃, Studio Deen, Tatsunoko Production, SILVER LINK, J.C.Staff, Production I.G, Pierrot, Gainax, and Studio Ponoc.

 

First, the project plans to hold the “AniManSai” event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of this year’s founding of Tatsunoko Production at the Civic Cultural Center’s Main Hall on January 27, 2023in Hall. The event will include screenings of the famous works by the company, a mini live concert by anisong singers such as Isao Sasaki (Space Battleship Yamato).

 

In addition, a web radio program “Animan Musashino” will be streamed for eight episodes from mid-November. The project’s two official PR characters, Mikichi kurasakai (CV: Takehiro Ueta) and Shoyo Takedera (CV: Kenta Tanaka) will host the program to introduce the charms of Musashino City by discussing sightseeing spots, famous landmarks, topics related to anime and manga, and guests who have connections to the area.
