Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack Gets 35th Anniversary Soundtrack on Red Vinyl

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, the 1988 theatrical anime film that brought a conclusion to the original “Universal Century” timeline for Mobile Suit Gundam, is celebrating its 35th anniversary with the release of a limited edition soundtrack for the film published as a 12-inch record on red vinyl.

 

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack Soundtrack features music composed by Shigeaki Saegusa and re-mastered for analog by audio engineer Bernie Grundman. The cover and slip-case feature illustrations by Naoyuki Kato. The track list for the album includes:

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack Soundtrack is available for pre-order on the Sony Music Shop website. It retails for 4840 yen (about $34.60 US) including tax and will be released in Japan on February 18, 2023.
