Miss Akiba 2024 Voice Actor Audition Opens for Entries
“Miss Akiba,” now in its sixth year, is an open audition for girls who love Akihabara and everything otaku culture with the catchphrase “Send the charm of Akihabara to the world!” This year’s special edition will be held as a voice actor audition, which differs from the regular edition.
In addition to the prize money of one million yen (7,166 USD), various ambassadorial activities and participation in overseas events, the Grand Prix winner is guaranteed to make a voice actor debut in a 30-minute TV anime series produced by CyberAgent (PuraOra! PRIDE OF ORANGE, Technoroid OVERMIND) to air in 2024.
Entries will be accepted from June 5 to August 7, and the final will be held at Kanda Myoujin Hall in Tokyo on December 8. The judges will include Asami Sanada (Kurumi Tokisaki in Date A Live) and Haruka Ishida (former AKB48 member, Genki/Yuki Aoyama in Action Heroine Cheer Fruits), as well as CyberAgent’s anime producer.
Application Requirements:
- No age requirement, but applicants must be female.
- Must belong to or be affiliated with Digital Double Inc.
- Must be able to participate in up to 12 episodes of anime recording.
- Must be able to participate in 12 events per year (about 1 event per month) as a prize for the Grand Prix.
