Masamune-kun’s Revenge TV Anime Teases Next Season in New Visual, Short Trailer

After a season delay, Masamune-kun’s Revenge R TV anime will be headed to screens this July. Today, alongside the release of the key visual and a short commercial, the premiere date for the much-anticipated anime sequel was confirmed for July 3.

Masamune-kun’s Revenge R continues the adaption of the manga written by Hazuki Takeoka and illustrated by Tiv that began in 2017 and is being directed by Mirai Minato (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious) at studio SILVER LINK., with series composition written by Michiko Yokote (Call of the Night) and character designs by Yuki Sawairi (The Dungeon of Black Company). Crunchyroll, which streams the first season of Masamune-kun’s Revenge has already been confirmed to stream the second season and describes the series as such:

 

“I’ve returned to this town for revenge!” Eight years ago, Makabe Masamune, a weak and chubby boy, was harshly rejected by the beautiful Adagaki Aki. Now, he’s lost a ton of weight, changed his name, and returned as a handsome teenage boy… all to make the “Brutal Princess” Aki fall in love with him so that he can reject her just as harshly as she did.

 

Masamune-kun’s Revenge R is set to premiere on July 3 on Japanese TV.
