Liar Liar TV Anime Announces July 2023 Premiere Date
The official website for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Haruki Kuou’s romantic comedy light novel series Liar Liar announced today that it is set to premiere on Tokyo MX ans Sun TV at 22:30 on July 8, 2023 (JST).

One voice drama clip will be posted sequentially on the anime’s official YouTube channel every month for five consecutive months until June, before the premiere of the TV anime.
The fourth voice drama clip, “Present Contest,” is just posted today on May 22. The story begins when Kagaya visits Hiroto and for some reason a present battle breaks out. Whose present will be chosen…!? The featured voice cast members are: Genta Nakamura as Hiroto Shinohara, Yukina Shuto as Shirayuki Himeji, Wakana Kuramochi as Sarasa Saionji, and Hibiku Yamamura as Ami Kagaya.
Liar Liar is being directed by Naoki Matsuura (Black Clover episode director) and Satoru Ohno at studio GEEKTOYS, with series composition written by Momoka Toyoda (My Happy Marriage) and character designs by Yumi Nakamura (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku OVA).
The opening theme song “LIES GOES ON” is sung by anisong singer May’n, best known as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome in the Macross Frontier anime franchise. Meanwhile, the ending theme song “faky merry game” is performed by six-member voice actress unit SMILE PRINCESS. One of its members, Yurika Moriyama, is also cast as one of the anime’s main characters, Tsumugi Shiina.
