The second weekened gross was 29.5 percent down from the opening weekend, but 167 percent of the two-day second weekend gross of the franchise’s previous 41st film Doraemon: Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021, released in March 2022. The 42nd film’s cumulative total gross has surpassed 1.2 billion yen (9.34 million USD) on 1.02 million admissions, and if this momentum continues for a while, the film could reach the two billion yen mark soon at Japanese box office.

THE FIRST SLAM DUNK climbed up to second again in its 15th weekend, making 200 million yen (1.56 million USD) on 137,000 admissions, which was more than last weekend gross. The basketball anime’s total domestic gross has reached 11.9 billion yen (92.5 million USD) on 8.19 million admissions.

The film’s second weekend gross was 122 million yen (948,615 USD) on 103,000 admissions, which was a huge 50 percent down.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- kept the same fourth position from the previous weekend. The 110-minute feature film edition has reportedly earned 3.678 billion yen (28.59 million USD) at Japanese box office alone.

The anime film adaptation of Shinichi Ishizuka’s jazz-themed manga BLUE GIANT also stayed on the same sixth spot in its fourth weekend, bringing its total to 480 million yen (3.73 million USD). In its 18th weekend, Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume ranked seventh, one position up from last weekend.
