Chainsaw Man Makima VA Tomori Kusunoki to Releases First 2 Albums on May 24

 

Voice actress/singer-songwriter Tomori Kusunoki (Makima in Chainsaw Man) announced that her two first full-length albums, entitled “PRESENCE” and “ABSENCE, will be released simultaneously on May 24, 2023. 

 

While working as a popular anime voice actress and as a member of the voice-actor unit of the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club series, she made her major debut as a solo singer in August 2019, and all of her previous four EPs ranked in Oricon’s weekly chart top 10.

 

The two albums include a total of 22 songs, 11 on each disc. In addition to 16 previously-released songs, six new songs will be recorded for the albums. Two songs are written by Kusunoki herself, and the other four songs provided by Cö shu Nie, TOOBOE, Haruka to Miyuki, and meiyo. The “PRESENCE” disc includes songs by Cö shu Nie and TOOBOE, and the “ABSENCE” disc includes songs by Harukatomiyuki and meiyo.

 

The albums will be released in four editions:

  • “PRESENCE” regular edition (single disc)
  • “ABSENCE” regular edition (single disc)
  • “PRESENCE / ABSENCE” first press limited edition (with a bonus photo book)
  • “PRESENCE / ABSENCE” perfect limited production edition (with a bonus Blu-ray of her 20th birthday live concert “Kusunoki Tomori coming-of-age ‘WRAPPED///LIVE廿'”)
