Hiro’s Akebi’s Sailor Uniform Manga Surpasses One Million Copies in Print

 

 

With the release of its latest 11th tankobon volume today, it was officially confirmed that the total number of printed copies Hiro’s school manga Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku / Akebi’s Sailor Uniform has surpassed the milestone of one million.

 

The manga, which tells a slow, sparkling coming-of-age story of the protagonist Komichi Akebi and her classmates in a prestigious girls’ junior high school, has been serialized on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website since August 2016. To commemorate reaching the one million mark, the author has posted a special animated illustration on Twitter.

 

 

 

Also, the official Twitter account for Tonari no Young Jump is running a campaign to win an acrylic stand and autographed colored paper by the author. By following the account and tweeting your impression of the manga with the hashtag #明日ちゃん100万部, five winners selected by drawing will receive the acrylic stand, and three winners will receive the colored paper.

The manga’s TV anime adaptation animated by CloverWorks was aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2022, and all episodes are available on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, MENA and India.
