Mark your calendars because we just got the return date for the second season of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury TV anime. The story of Suletta Mercury and the students of Asticassia School of Technology was announced today through the official Twitter account for the series to be continuing on April 9.

 

 

 

 

Ahead of the second season’s premiere, on April 2 a special pre-season two’s broadcast in the same time slot as the anime a week after – 5 PM every Sunday on MBS/TBS range of TV networks in Japan.

Hiroshi Kobayashi, who directed TRIGGER’s original anime KIZNAIVER, is helming Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury at Bandai Namco Filmworks anime studio brand Sunrise alongside Code Geass co-creator Ichiro Okouchi as the scriptwriter and series composer. Crunchyroll is currently simulcasting the series and describes it as such:

 

A.S. (Ad Stella) 122― An era when a multitude of corporations have entered space and built a huge economic system. A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry. Her name is Suletta Mercury. With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart, this girl walks step by step through a new world.
