Comic Market 101 may still be a few weeks away but the organizing committee behind Comiket, Japan’s largest convention dedicated to official and fan-created works, is already looking ahead to their summer showing, confirming on Twitter the dates for the August event as well as daily attendee caps.

Comiket 102, the next natsukomi (summer comiket), will be held on August 12 and 13, 2023, and the committee is aiming for 120,000 attendees per day, the current maximum capacity of Tokyo Big Sight at the moment. This is still well below pre-pandemic attendee levels of over 500,000 over the weekend, but considering it’s still at two days rather than three days that were common.

The next fuyukomi (winter comiket) will be held on December 30 and 31 this year.
