Berserk of Gluttony TV Anime Sharpens Its Sword in First Teaser Trailer, Visual

After being revealed back in October 2022, we’ve finally gotten our first bit of information for the TV anime adaptation of the dark fantasy light novel series Berserk of Gluttony, written by Isshiki Ichika and illustrated by fame, giving us a teaser for the full course to come. The first teaser trailer and visual was released today alongside the reveal of two of the main voice actors and the series will premiere in 2023.

Voicing two of the lead characters, Fate and his sword Greed, are:

 

Ryota Osaka (Ryu Yamada in Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches) as Fate Graphite

 

Berserk of Gluttony

 

Tomokazu Seki (Panda in JUJUTSU KAISEN) as Greed, Fate’s sentient black sword who communicates with him through telepathy

Berserk of Gluttony began its life on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, with a manga adaptation being published on October 2, 2018, by Micro Magazine in Japan with the first collected volume of the written works being published as a light novel from the GC novels imprint. Seven Seas releases both the light novel and manga in English, describing the series as such:

 

Fate Graphite is one of the forsaken. Cursed with the skill “Gluttony,” he is ever starving, never sated…until the day he kills a dying thief and devours the man’s strength—and his soul. The true hunger of Fate’s Gluttony has awakened, and if he can learn to control his power, he will at last be the master of his own destiny.

 

 Berserk of Gluttony will is scheduled to air sometime this year.
