Azusa Tadokoro Sings Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2 Ending Theme

Lantis’ official webpage for voice actress/singer Azusa Tadokoro announced on May 4 that her next 14th digital single song “Private Room” will be featured as the ending theme for the forthcoming second season of the TV anime Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari. She has played Satsuki, a tsukumogami in the form of a young girl, in the anime series.

Following her previous digital single song “Drum-shiki Tansaki” (Drum-type Space Probe), which was used as the ending theme for the second season of the TV anime By the Grace of Gods, she teams up again with Kosuke Oki (lyrics) and John Kanda (music & arrangement). Kanda has also worked on the soundtrack music for Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari.

On the site, “Private Room” is introduced as: “a thought-provoking song that throws a stone at the words we use casually and the feelings we take for granted.” Tadokoro said, “‘Private Room’ is a song that was created on the theme of ‘words’ itself, overlapping the problems faced by Botan-chan, the heroine of the anime, and those of us who live in the present day. I am also very impressed with the anime’s beautiful ending movie. I hope you will enjoy it as well.”

The song’s release date will be announced later. You can listen to part of the song in the end of the anime’s latest PV below. The opening theme also introduced in the clip, “Taga tame” (For whom?) is performed by singer-songwriter Megater Zero.
