Ado, SPY x FAMILY Wrap Up a Monumental Year on Spotify Japan’s 2022 Rankings

Spotify Japan 2022 rankings

As we now enter December, it’s officially the season of looking back on and appreciating all the wonderful sights and sounds we experienced in anime this year. The latter element got a headstart with Spotify’s release of their annual “Wrapped” collection of statistics yesterday, including six lists of overall rankings from the company’s Japanese Twitter account.

Anime-related highlights include SPY x FAMILY and Tokyo Revengers opening theme band Official HIGE DANdism coming in at #2 for most-played artist in Japan, followed by Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury‘s YOASOBI and One Piece Film Red‘s Ado. Furthermore, One Piece Film Red‘s soundtrack made it to #2 in most-played album in Japan, while SPY x FAMILY’s official podcast made runner-up under its own category.
