The reign of fantasy anime series Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire will officially commence on January 9 at 25:45 JST (eventually January 10 at 1:45), and we have a brand-new trailer and cast members to prepare us for another reincarnation romp.

 

On top of all the flashy sword and sorcery, the new trailer also provides a preview of the anime’s opening theme, “DAY1” by AUO feat. Win Morisaki.

Based on the light novels by Hayaken and Nagu, Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire is directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya (Bikini Warriors) at Studio Comet, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota (EDENS ZERO) and character designs by Reiichiro Ofuji (Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest animation director).

 

Crunchyroll, who’ll be simulcasting the anime from January 2023, describes the series as such:

 

After living a life devoted to serving his country and people, Inglis’ one wish to be free of a king’s burden and to train was actually heard, but as a beautiful girl! Reborn in the far future as a daughter to renowned knights, Inglis can now focus on mastering the martial arts. A wish has been granted, and Inglis will be on the front lines fulfilling the dream of becoming the strongest knight.
