Yuri Komori Joins THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS U149 as Koharu Koga
In the first episode of THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS U149 premiered in Japan on April 5, the previously unannounced voice cast member for Koga Koharu was confirmed as rookie voice actress Yuri Komori.
The 12-year-old idol character is described as: “Her star sign is Aries and her blood type is O, and she longs to be a princess. She is a soft, calm and laid-back person who is always smiling. She takes everything at her own slow pace and is not very good at dancing or exercising. She has an iguana best friend named “Hyou-kun. They often draw together.”
Komori has played Arctic fox in the Kemono Friends game series and Koga Koharu is her second TV anime role following Mimo in RPG Real Estate. She has posted her message about this role on the anime’s official website and Twitter.
I’m Yuri Komori and I will be playing the role of Koharu Koga! Finally, the day has come when I will be able to provide the voice of Koharu-chan! I had heard that the announcement would be made on the day of the anime’s broadcast, so I was very excited and eagerly awaiting the broadcast. I was froze with nerves at the recording session, but the cast and staff were so kind to me that I felt once again that I was involved in such a wonderful work. Koharu is not only a calm and easygoing girl, but also a wonderful girl who has her own world and dreams. A sparkling and fun story is about to begin! I played the role of Koharu as best I could. I hope you will warmly watch over me. Thank you very much!

The TV anime is based on THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS U149, a spin-off manga series to Cygames and Bandai Namco Studios’ THE iDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS mobile game franchise. As its title suggests, its story centers elementary school idols under 149 cm tall belonging to the 3rd Entertainment Division.
The anime premiered in Japan on April 5, and will also be available on Crunchyroll soon for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India.

Synopsis:
These small girls are ready to make it big! All under 149 centimeters tall, this group of aspiring pop idols dream of performing for thousands of people. But with zero experience, they’ve got a lot of work to do. Not to mention there’s a distractingly cute prince in town! With the help of their rookie producer, who’s just as short, can they stay focused and make it to the top?
