VINLAND SAGA Creator Makoto Yukimura to Make First US Appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2023

 

Fans of VINLAND SAGA, get ready for something very special this summer. Kodansha USA announced that creator Makoto Yukimura will be making his U.S. debut appearance at Comic-Con International 2023, which takes place in San Diego from July 20-23.

Over the course of the weekend, Kodansha will be celebrating Yukimura-sensei at Booth #5542 with signings, con-exclusive giveaways and other surprises that will be announced closer to the event.

The original VINLAND SAGA manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon manga magazine, with an English language version available from Kodansha USA. VINLAND SAGA SEASON 2 is directed by Shuhei Yabuta at MAPPA. The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the story as such:

 

Around the end of the millennium, Viking, the mightiest but atrocious tribe, had been out breaking everywhere. Thorfinn, the son of the greatest warrior, lived his childhood in the battlefield. He was seeking the land of reverie called Vinland. This is the story of a true warrior in an age of turmoil.
