Toei Animation Teams With French Studio for Le College Noir Co-Pro

Japan’s Toei Animation and France’s la Cachette Studio are combining their creative talents for Le College Noir, an animated co-production based on the bande dessinée (Franco-Belgian comic) by Ulysse Malassagne.

 

Malassagne also serves as writer and director for the production, which will be distributed in France by ADN in the fall season of 2023, while Toei Animation has acquired the video and commercialization rights for the series in Japan.

The story of Le College Noir is set in the mountainous region of central France, which is covered by dark and mysterious forests. In this setting, five children embark on an adventure to solve the mystery of their missing friend.
