The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses TV Anime Adds Best Barista Character Video

A new solo visual and a new character preview video have been published for The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses (known in Japan as Megami no Café Terrace), an upcoming TV anime based on the romantic comedy manga by Kouji Seo. The video and visual (below) focus on Akane Hououji (voiced by Asami Seto), a cool beauty with a gentle smile who is also the number one barrista in the café.

The original The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses manga is published in Japan in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha USA, who describe the story of the series as follows:

 

When Hayato’s grandmother passed, he planned to sell her rundown café on the shore—not realizing that it was also home to five young women who call themselves her family?! Their desperation to keep the café open convinces Hayato to give it a shot…but even their best intentions might not be enough to make it work! And can he even work with these five unruly women? No matter what, he’s got his work cut out for him!

The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses TV anime is directed by Satoshi Kuwabara and features animation production by Tezuka Productions. The series will broadcast in Japan as part of the Mainichi Broadcasting System / Tokyo Broadcasting System “Super Animeism” programming block beginning in April of 2023.
