The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses Heroine Akane Hououji Gets Character Song CD Single

 

 

The official website for the ongoing TV anime The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses has announced that Akane Hououji’s (CV: Asami Seto) character song CD single “My Standard” is set to be released on August 2, 2023.

 

As its title suggests, the single includes the insert song “My standard” performed by her and her band in the anime’s latest fifth episode aired in Japan on May 5, the song’s in-the-show version, as well as two new songs – “Ame no Hide-and-Seek” and “Midnight Doubt.”  

 

 

Message from Asami Seto:

 

In addition to the hot rock number that Akane-san sang in the anime’s fifth episode, I also recorded a sad ballad and an emotional, slightly languorous rock number! It was difficult to match the rhythm and pitch of all three songs, but the sound was so pleasant and cool that I could imagine actually singing them at a live house, and the lyrics were so wonderful that I naturally wanted to sing them with all my heart, so I really enjoyed the recording. The details in the packaging of the CD is also remarkable. This is what it would look like if Akane-san’s band really released a CD on their own. I hope you will enjoy it!

The latest Tezuka Productions-animated adaptation of the series premiered in Japan on April 7, 2023, and is also simulcast on Crunchyroll for members worldwide. The romantic comedy manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 2021, and so far ten volumes are available in Japan. The English edition is published by Kodansha USA since September 2022. Crunchyroll describes the anime adaptation:

 

After inheriting his late grandmother’s failing café, Hayato sees it as a bother and plans to sell it for a quick buck. Until he discovers five beautiful girls staying there! When they beg him to keep the café open, Hayato reluctantly gives in. Can he manage the seaside shop while learning to live with these unruly women?
