Sophisticated Edo Kiriko Glass Celebrates Golgo 13 Manga and Anime

 

Raise a glass to Duke Togo!

 

A new, unique piece of Edo Kiriko glassware is inspired by the long-running Golgo 13. Edo Kiriko cut glass is a celebrated craft with centuries of history, and involves hand-cut, faceted patterns in colored glass. This particular item, termed kuro kiriko, is made from jet-black glass, with designs that cut through to expose the transparent glass underneath.

The designs along the top half of the glass mimic rifling patterns, with the larger cuts at the bottom in the shape of bullets. The underside of the glass features a sandblasted image of Togo:

 

 

The glass comes in a paulownia box bearing the series’s logo:

The glass will sell for 29,700 yen on Shogakukan merchandise websites.
