Shoji Kawamori Of Macross Fame To Appear At Otakon 2023 As Guest of Honor
The Otakon anime convention continues to line up its roster of guests just weeks before its 29th installment at the end of July, and the latest announcement is sure to excite fans of Macross, as one of the key figures behind the franchise in Shoji Kawamori has been confirmed to attend.

While Kawamori is best known for his involvement in the Macross franchise, his work also spans mechanical designs for other franchises such as Aquarion, Arjuna and the Vision of Escaflowne, while dipping into product design, with the development of the Diaclone transforming toys, which formed the basis for the Transformers toy franchise.
