Sakura VA Chie Nakamura Cancels BORUTO & NARUTO Stage Appearance at Jump Festa 2023
It seems that Chie Nakamura still needs time to recover from the ulcerative colitis that has seen her suspending her activities as a voice actor for an indeterminate amount of time, canceling this weekend’s appearance at the yearly Jump Festa event. Nakamura voices Sakura in the long-running Naruto and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS anime.
Nakamura was scheduled to appear on the BORUTO & NARUTO Super Stage panel alongside her co-stars but the official Twitter account for Jump Festa confirmed yesterday that she will not be participating “due to medical treatment.”

Jump Festa 2023 will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture on December 17 and 18. For the first time ever, the stages at the event will be streamed live with English subtitles.
