Sailor Moon Prism on Ice

Sailor Moon Prism on Ice was set to be the first ever Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon ice skating adaptation but due to COVID-19 in 2020, the show was postponed while the world tried to grapple with the situation. The show was previously confirmed to be finally happening in June 2023 but today was announced to be canceled outright due to the “unstable world situation.”

The special illustrations drawn by creator Naoko Takeuchi for the performance were released to the public for the first time.

Sailor Moon Prism on Ice has been delayed every year since it was first announced in March 2020 due to COVID-19-related issues with each performance set to be performed the next June.

The official website for the performance states that “efforts were made to hold the ice show. “However, due to the different effects of the unstable world situation, it is still difficult for the performers and staff to prepare for the show. After discussions, we have decided that at this stage we will not be ready to present the best possible show to you by the date of the event, and we regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel the show.”
