The anime adaptation of the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai novel series is getting ready to continue on the big screen, and now we have a release window to look forward to. The theatrical take on Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out is officially set to open this summer, as revealed on the official website and social accounts and through a video that has the main cast sharing the news.

 

 

 

In the meantime, the first movie ticket card—which can be used as an advance ticket at theaters throughout Japan—will be available to purchase starting on February 18, featuring double-sided shikishi-style illustrations by director Soichi Masui and character designer Satomi Tamura. Valentine’s Day cards will also be distributed at Animate Akihabara, featuring a QR code on the back that lets you listen to a special Valentine’s message from Mai Sakurajima VA Asami Seto.

 

 

The Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV anime will be rebroadcast on various stations in Japan this April.

Labeled the “Senior High School Student Completion Compilation”, the theatrical animation adapts the novels Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid. The original Rascal novels are written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi, and an English language version of the series is published by Yen Press.

 

Crunchyroll currently streams the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny GIrl Senpai TV anime, and describes the story as follows:

 

Puberty syndrome – Abnormal experiences rumored on the internet to be caused by sensitivity and instability during adolescence. This year, Sakuta Azusagawa, a second-year student at a high school near Enoshima, meets several girls that are experiencing this “puberty syndrome.” For instance, he meets a wild bunny girl in the library. She turns out to be an actress on hiatus, Mai Sakurajima, who is also his senior at the school. For some reason, no one else can see this enchanting girl. How did she become invisible…?

 

The new Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai animation is directed by Soichi Masui and features animation production by CloverWorks.
