Paradox Live Media Mix Project Reveals Stage Show, Mobile Game, Anime Teaser Visual

from Paradox Live: The Animation

The AVEX and GCREST media mix project Paradox Live celebrates its third anniversary this weekend, and the occasion comes with a huge news drop!

The project follows the competitors in a near-future competition, pitting young rap and hip-hop artists against each other. Each of these performers bears a piece of “phantometal”—an accessory that reacts with their DNA to create brilliant illusions as they perform. In the three years since its inception, Paradox Live has held performances and released singles, working up to further expansions on the project.

As part of this weekend’s anniversary festivities, we got three big news drops:

First up, it’s been confirmed that their second stage show—Paradox Live on Stage Vol. 2—will be performed March 9-19, 2023. Joining the cast for this new production will be Naotake Tsuchiya (of vocal group AVEST) as cozmez member Kanata Yatonokami. Voice actor Ryota Takeuchi, who plays Naoakira Saimon, will be appearing onstage as his character, as well.

Next up is an “ultra teaser visual” for the upcoming 2023 anime adaptation:

Last but not least, it’s been confirmed that there will be a tie-in mobile game for the project. While nothing is official, the fact that this was announced on AVEX’s English-language account gives us some hope of a global release.

To finish things out for the day, Buraikan character designer Suo penned this celebratory art of the legendary pair:

More information will be available on the growing project in the coming months.
