Oi! Tonbo Golf Anime Takes a Swing in New Teaser Trailer

After being announced in May, a new teaser trailer is here for the Oi! Tonbo anime. The golf series is based on the manga written by Ken Kawasaki and illustrated by Yu Furusawa, which has been running in the pages of Weekly Golf Digest since August 2014. The series has been confirmed to premiere in Japan in spring 2024, and you can see a quick snippet of what anime studio OLM is cooking up in the video below.

Igarashi, who Left the past behind and running away from the world, moved to the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture. On Hinoshima Island, which is said to be “the last unexplored region in Japan,” Igarashi meets Tonbo, the only junior high school student on the island. The innocent girl has an incredible talent for golf! This encounter will change the destiny of the two…
