Japanese Fans Rank Their Top 10 Favorite Anime Openings of 2022

TV anime opening theme animations continue to be one of the highlights of tuning every week and the OP’s from 2022 were some of the best jams in the anime space. Japanese website Anime! Anime! polled its users on their favorite anime opening from 2022, compiling one of the best playlists from the anime of the past year.

 

331 people were surveyed by the website for both the opening and ending numbers, with 32.6% of respondents being male and 64.7% being female. Nearly half of all of those who responded under the age of 19 at 49.2%, 13.3% from the 20 to 24 age range and 9.4% between 25 and 29 years old. The other 28.1% of people were 30 and over. The survey was conducted between December 4 and December 15.

On a personal note, “Chikichiki Banban” by QUEENDOM has been a daily watch since it first debuted in April along with “KICK BACK” by Kenshi Yonezu, both being some of the best songs to come out of anime ever.
