In Norn9: Var Commons, child prodigy Sorata Suzuhara wanders off while on a school field trip after hearing a mysterious song, eventually passing out. He awakens to find himself in turn of the century Japan, and to get back to his own time he follows a girl to a strange round aircraft that is beyond his wildest imagination.

Within this airship are 12 other passengers—three women and nine men—all supposedly espers with special powers. They’re on a journey under the order of a multinational entity known as The World, and this journey’s purpose and Sorata’s attempt to return home are just the beginning of a much grander mystery at play.
