Nintendo Brings Nintendo Live! Event To the US This September

 

Nintendo of America has announced that it’s bringing over its previously Japan-exclusive Nintendo Live! event to the U.S., naming Seattle as the host city for the in-person event to be held sometime in September of this year. Nintendo Live! events typically consist of installations with a theme park and carnival flair, along with musical acts and gaming tournaments, specifically meant to draw in families with children and those who may not normally play videogames. 

 

“Fans of all ages can currently experience the unique games, characters and worlds of Nintendo on Nintendo Switch, but we want to expand that scope with a new experience,” said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. “With Nintendo Live 2023, we’re giving attendees a chance to celebrate together with family, friends and the broader Nintendo community in the spirit of fun and creating long-lasting memories.”

 

More details, such as ticket sales and specific dates, will be announced closer to the event’s timeframe. Nintendo is no stranger to these sorts of live events, typically tying up with retailers across the country to promote the brand, but this will be the first time that the brand will hold a ticketed event specifically aimed at the general public that is not tied into a larger event.
