New Naruto Manga One-Shot Featuring Minato to Be Published This Summer

Naruto’s father and the Fourth Hokage Minato recently won the NARUTO99 worldwide character poll and for winning first place, it was announced that Minato would be getting his own one-shot. Today, it was revealed that the one-shot will be published this Summer in Weekly Shonen Jump.

 

 

 

 

This one-shot will be the first wholly created Naruto work from Masashi Kishimoto in seven years. Kishimoto teased that the one-shot will be about the “secret story behind the development of Minato’s technique.”

Masashi Kishimoto’s original Naruto manga ran in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1999 to 2014 and inspired the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden anime series. Its sequel, BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, is currently streaming on Crunchyroll alongside the original two anime.
