New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival Unveils Main Visual by Land of the Lustrous Creator

Celebrating its tenth year of operation and a return to an in-person format, the New Chitose Airport Animation Festival enlisted Land of the Lustrous mangaka Haruko Ichikawa to draw the event’s main visual for 2023, adding to a decade-long line of striking illustrations from creators such as Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! creator Sumito Owara and Cencoroll director Atsuya Uki.

New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival is currently accepting entries for Short Film, Student Film, Feature Film and the Social Media Animation Award. Those selected will be screened at the terminal building in Hokkaido from November 2-6, where lectures from Japanese and foreign creators will also take place.
