The latest to be teased is a mysterious new Pokémon that recently made an appearance in the Japanese broadcast of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, the new anime series that will make its debut around the rest of the world later this year.

Described as “reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos,” the name and true nature of this new Pokémon remain shrouded in mystery. While it may not be particularly big and strong, it can generate a protective shield by crystallizing the energy in its body. When it feels its life is in danger it can also pull its heads, limbs and tail into its shell to assume a dormant state that makes it look like a jewel.
