Japanese Fans Name Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween as the Top Anime Film of 2022

Following up on yesterday’s article on the top TV anime of 2022 as voted on by Japanese fans, Anime! Anime! released the results of their poll for the top anime films of 2022 as voted on by readers of the website with the latest film from the Detective Conan anime franchise topping the rankings.

 

313 people were surveyed by the website, a much smaller number than that of TV anime, with 26.8% of respondents being male and 71.9% being female. As with yesterday’s poll. the numbers skewed younger with 40.3% of those who responded under the age of 19, 15.0% from the 20 to 24 age range and 12.5% between 25 and 29 years old. The other 32.2% of people were 30 and over. The survey was conducted between December 2 and December 13.

With the high skew towards females, it comes as no surprise that Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween and Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love STRISH Tours ranked highly, as well as The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie which has a surprisingly large female fanbase for being a harem manga targeting teenage boys.
