Mr. Osomatsu Anime Parties Hard in New Theatrical OVA Trailer

 

Mr. Osomatsu, the hit sequel series to classic manga and anime Osomatsu-kun, turns six this year. That’s a special number for sextuplets, so they’ve been rolling out the celebrations. Up next is their second theatrical OVA, and today we get a closer look at the wild party the Matsuno boys are throwing!

 

Mr. Osomatsu: The Soul’s Takoyaki Party and the Legendary Sleepover Party released its full-length trailer today. Have a look:

The trailer features the OVA’s theme song: AOP’s “Zenryoku Batankyu Metal Arrangement,” a high-octane reimagining of the second cour’s opening theme.

The first OVA to commemorate the franchise’s sixth anniversary, Osomatsu-san ~Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu~ (Mr. Osomatsu: The Hipipo Tribe and the Glistening Fruit) was screened in Japanese theaters in July 2022, with the Blu-ray and DVD release in November.

 

The first three seasons of Mr. Osomatsu, as well as the movie, are available to stream on Crunchyroll, who describes the series:

 

Mr. Osomatsu is based off of the gag manga series Osomatsu-kun by Fujio Akatsuka, and ran from 1962 to 1969. The series features a set of sextuplets, the Matsuno brothers, with Osomatsu being the oldest brother and leader of the group.
