miwa Shares MIX MEISEI STORY Season 2 Ending Theme MV

 

Japanese singer-songwriter miwa‘s official YouTube channel has started streaming a music video for her 30th single song “Haru no Oto” (literally means The Sound of Spring), which is now featured as the ending theme for the latest second season of the MIX MEISEI STORY TV anime.

 

The song was already released digitally on April 2, one day after the second season’s premiere in Japan, and its CD single will be available on May 24. The music video is set in a school classroom, on a rooftop, and on a bank, with scenes that remind viewers of their youth. It also includes scenes of three children singing, and miwa playing acoustic guitar and singing.

Following the 24-episode first season in 2019, the much-awaited second season of the MIX MEISEI STORY TV anime premiered in Japan on April 1, 2023, and has also been simulcast on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe (excluding Italy and France), Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

 

Crunchyroll describes the story as: 

 

A new generation steps up to the plate in a moving sequel to the 1985 baseball manga, Touch. Stepbrothers Touma and Suichirou are ace players on Meisei High School’s baseball team, and thanks to them, the team may finally have a chance at returning to nationals. But little by little, a tragic legacy unfolds as the stepbrothers follow in their fathers’ footsteps.
