Minami Releases Fast-Paced Anime MV for Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Opening Theme

Japanese singer-songwriter Minami released her new digital single song “Rude Lose Dance” on January 27 and posted the song’s music video on her official YouTube channel. The song is now featured as the opening theme for the second season of the anime adaptation of Shinya Umemura (composition), Takumi Fukui (story), and Ajichika’s (art) fantasy battle manga, Record of Ragnarok.

After winning the Grand Prix prize of Fying Dog’s “The 2nd Flying Dog Audition” in 2018, she made her professional singer debut with “Kawaki wo Ameku,” the opening theme for the winter 2019 TV anime Domestic Girlfriend. Since then, she has been active in releasing music and performing live, while her popularity has grown not only in Japan but also overseas, and her YouTube comment section is filled with messages from listeners all over the world.

Along with the digital single jacket and key visual, the fast-paced animation music video for “Rude Lose Dance” was created by manga/illustration/animation artist Kazuki Oekaki. He started his career as an artist when he was a student, winning a manga award from Weekly Shonen Jump. After graduation, he has worked as a designer for an apparel manufacturer while drawing manga and creating animation music videos and CMs.
